Hemp Global Solutions have entered a new phase with the launch of the AMARU ethical hemp brand, and it's first product, iPorridge. The HGS "Community Franchise" model for hemp involves the development of a Global Brand, with ethical and sustainable values, marketing hemp products cultivated, processed and packaged locally for local or regional markets. To fulfill this vision, HGS have created AMARU.
"AMARU" is a figure from South American Legend, the first female presence on Earth, which reflects the caring and nurturing aspects of our approach to business" explains HGS CEO Rebekah Bloom, who was inspired to 'Be The Change' after undertaking a Shamanic Apprenticeship in the Peruvian Amazon, and working with various indigenous groups in South America and elsewhere.
"Many peoples lived for millenia following simple wisdoms such as 'replace what you use.' HGS and AMARU blend dynamic entrepreneurialism with genuinely ethical and sustainable values. This will allow us to deliver change rapidly, as business always has, but in this case we aim to deliver empowering and profitable changes towards genuine sustainability."
The first AMARU product is iPorridge, a hot, instant, dairy free prorridge containing 50% shelled hemp seed. To find out more about the properties of hemp seed, click here.
Hemp - Humanity's partner for sustainability
HGS believe that hemp's incredible power can be harnessed to meet many of the economic, materials, environmental and nutrition needs of humanity in ways that can be sustained indefinitely. This can be achieved by developing a community based, sustainable hemp cultivation, processing and production model, called 'Co-Franchising.' This involves local and regional production of HGS/AMARU products by Co-Franchisees, giving members of the scheme assistance with all aspects of hemp production and the prospect of entering ready markets under the ethical brand umbrella of AMARU.
"Profitability needs to be reached early if hemp is to compete as a crop" explains MS Bloom, HGS/AMARU CEO. "The products we are developing require low initial investment to produce, but add value, generating revenue to invest in infrastructure and local employment. HGS/AMARU will continually develop new products and processing technology to 'bolt on' new revenue streams until the full, amazing potential of hemp is realised."
Sharing the HGS/AMARU vision, MS Bloom explains: "With an ethical, sustainable and profitable model, hemp communities could thrive almost anywhere in the world. We envision autonomous communities worldwide, networking together with the best interests of the global eco-system and humanity in mind."
A Big Thank You To HGS 'Hempeteers' in 2007 - Join Us Again In 2008
'All for Hemp and Hemp for All!' was the slightly plagiarised rallying cry for HGS volunteers or 'Hempeteers' in 2007. HGS wish to thank once again all the volunteers who assisted us with the administrative, tactical and practical challenges we faced in the completion of Phase I of the HGS III Phase Plan For Hemp. Now, as we begin Phase II, we ask you once again to join us in pushing the barriers to hemp back and completing Phase II of our Plan. This year we will be developing the AMARU brand as well as continuing our research and development of the "Co-Franchising" model.
Volunteers with specialised skills in media, business and PR areas are especially welcome this year, as we begin the commercial trials of our new model for hemp, and increase our efforts in product development, branding and identifying new markets. HGS view atmospheric carbon as an enormous resource - destined to become the builiding block for sustainable raw materials. Farmers worldwide could be absorbing billions of tonnes of carbon and producing an enormous range of renewable raw materials to meet almost any local need - and this from a plant that provides the most complete single source of nutrition known. HGS hold the vision of a sustainable 'now,' through improving autonomy, reduced transport, nutrition and resources for communities and their environments worldwide. Industrial hemp - the ultimate natural wealth creator - offers a genuine path to that vision.
